Since 2022, UCCO has made significant investments in research and development to push the boundaries of magazine performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. R&D Service Areas

New Magazine Development

Starting from a pistol or rifle platform specification, we design a complete magazine system including body, follower, spring, and baseplate. Deliverables include technical drawings, prototypes, test reports, and production-ready tooling specifications.

Existing Design Optimization

We analyze your current magazine design to identify opportunities for improved reliability, reduced manufacturing cost, or enhanced performance. Common improvements include feed lip geometry refinement, spring tension optimization, and surface treatment upgrades.

All R&D work performed under contract is covered by strict confidentiality agreements. Intellectual property ownership is clearly defined in the project agreement — we can work on a work-for-hire basis where all IP belongs to you, or on a joint development basis with shared licensing.
